NEW DELHI: The seventh edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for 2022 has been announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The NIRF ranking 2022 list for many fields, including engineering, medicine, management, and law, is now accessible at 11 AM on the NIRF official website, nirfindia.org. NIRF India Ranking 2022 pdf has also been released on the official website. Discover the best colleges in India here.
The ranking of Indian institutions will be done across a total of 11 categories. The number of categories increased to 11 last year with the addition of the research institution category. 7,254 institutions in all, up from 6,272 last year, are taking part in the NIRF ranking 2022.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has once again maintained its top position in the overall category according to the NIRF ranking. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru last took first place in 2018; in 2019, IIT Madras passed it to take second place. However, IISc Bengaluru has maintained its top spot in the NIRF university rankings for the previous four years in a row. Delhi University’s Miranda House was declared the best college in India.

The Indian universities and colleges will be ranked based on teaching, learning, and resources (TLR), research, and professional practice (RP), graduation results (GO), outreach and inclusivity (OI), and peer perception. In addition to these six parameters, there are around 16 to 18 sub-parameters that are utilized to rank the institutions in other categories.
